adoptstartup.com is operated by Maxfeatures (P) Ltd ("Adopt Startup", "we", "us"). By using this website or submitting any form, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.
2. Our services
We organise virtual and physical fundraising events, offer annual investor membership, run the Adopt 50 virtual incubation program, help with business registration through professional partners, and publish information about startups and investors. Specific terms for each service, including fees, are set out in a separate written agreement or engagement letter. If that agreement conflicts with these terms, the agreement applies.
3. Not investment advice
Nothing on this website or at our events is investment, legal, tax or financial advice, or an offer to buy or sell securities. Investors must do their own research and due diligence and take independent professional advice before investing. Investing in startups is risky and you may lose all of your investment.
4. No guarantee of funding or selection
Applying does not guarantee selection for an event, membership, the Adopt 50 program or a job. Taking part in an event does not guarantee that a startup will raise funds, or that an investor will receive a minimum number of deals beyond what is stated in their written agreement. Selection is at our sole discretion.
5. Fees
Where a fee applies, such as a participation deposit, success fee, membership fee or application fee, the amount, payment terms and refund terms are confirmed in writing before payment. Unless your agreement says otherwise, application fees are non-refundable. Taxes apply as per law.
6. Your responsibilities
- Provide information that is true, accurate and complete, and keep it up to date.
- Upload only documents you own or are authorised to share.
- Do not upload malicious files, spam, or content that is unlawful, misleading or infringes anyone's rights.
- Do not try to access the admin area, other users' data or our systems without permission.
7. Confidentiality
We treat pitch decks and business documents as confidential and share them only as described in our Privacy policy. Information you choose to share with investors or partners at events may be discussed with them, so share only what you are comfortable disclosing at each stage.
8. Public listings
With your approval, we may display verified investor profiles and selected Adopt 50 startups (name, logo, sector and short description) on our website and social media, including as alumni in later years. You can ask us to remove your listing at any time.
9. Intellectual property
The Adopt Startup name, logo, website design and content belong to Maxfeatures (P) Ltd unless stated otherwise. You keep ownership of everything you submit to us, and you give us permission to use it only for the purpose you submitted it for.
10. Third-party links and partners
Our website may link to other websites, and some services are delivered by independent partners. We are not responsible for third-party websites, and partners are responsible for the professional services they provide under their own terms.
11. Limitation of liability
The website is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for any investment decision, loss of funds or business outcome arising from use of the website, our events or introductions. Our total liability for any claim relating to a paid service is limited to the fees you paid us for that service.
12. Careers
Job and internship listings are invitations to apply and not offers of employment. Any offer will be made in writing. We never charge candidates a fee to apply or to be hired; please report any such request to us.
13. Changes
We may update these terms or change our services at any time. The latest version will always be on this page.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at Gautam Buddha Nagar, Uttar Pradesh, have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
